Business ISP

We get a lot of questions about best bang for your buck on internet service…a few thoughts…
1. Don’t get caught up in your old contract, make time to review and improve every time it expires and don’t let anyone lock you into ‘automatic renewals’. Mark your calendar for the next expiration and get rid of the old, slow internet you have.
2. Current offers for business internet are the cheapest and fastest they have ever been, if you are a company with less than 50 employees you should be paying less than $300/month for solid service and bandwidth. Sonic, Comcast and AT&T are the best competitors in that space right now.
3. If you plan to grow then plan your ISP contract to scale and grow with you, the bandwidth you need at 20 people is much different than what you need at 250, so plan ahead.
4. All bandwidth is not the same and plan for failure – you should always have two segregated suppliers so your business can operate if one of the cords gets cut. Also, the way that the ISP connects to the world varies, so don’t get a bargain basement deal for the worst performer in your city.
